To improve Student Learning in Numeracy and Literacy across the school.

VELS
• The school mean as a Percentile for each year
level will indicate an improvement trend, initially
achieving within the SFO Percentile range and
then, by 2014,achieving beyond the SFO Percentile
range in Reading, Writing and Number.
• The aggregated proportion of students In each
year level, assessed by teacher as achieving C or better in Reading, Writing and Number, will increase by 2014.
• The aggregated proportion of students in each
year level, assessed by teachers as achieving B or
better in Reading, Writing and Number, will increase by 2014.
NAPLAN
• The school mean as a Percentile for Yr. 3 and
Yr. 5 will indicate an improvement trend, initially
achieving within the SFO Percentile range and
then, by 2014,achieving beyond the SFO Percentile
range in Reading, Writing and Number.
• The proportion of students in the two lowest
Naplan bands for Reading, Writing and Number will be reduced each year.
• The proportion of students in the two highestt
Naplan bands for Reading, Writing and Number will be increased each year.

• Develop whole-school approach to curriculum in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Implement a whole-school focus on the development of communication skills across all focus areas.
• Refine the curriculum documents to reflect current pedagogical practice and the use of e5 instructional model.
• Increase the capacity of staff to assess effectively and to use assessment data to differentiate curriculum according to individual student needs.
• Further embed the use of technology into curriculum across the school. |

STAFF OPINION SURVEY
• Improve the score in the Student Misbehaviour variable each year with the aim of achieving the 60th Percentile by 2014. |
• Use “Effective Schools are Engaging Schools’ document to guide thinking and undertake an extensive review of our Engagement and Wellbeing policies and practices.
• Develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for students at both ends of the learning spectrum. • Further embed the use of technology as a tool for learning.
• Revisit the Principles of Learning and Teaching (POLTs). |
